Movies about interracial love?
I was wondering what are some good movies that about about a girl and boy (or man and woman) of different cultures/ races falling in love. I really like dirty dancing: havana nights and the sleeping dictionary. So something along those lines.

Made in America and Jungle Fever jump into my mind. There’s also Monster’s Ball with Halley Barry and Billy Bob.

Plot: Claude Eastman, is a composer and conductor. He is married to Daniella, who is half his age. While away on a trip he told his Italian driver, Giuseppe, to tell his friend Norman to keep an eye on her, or take care of her. But his english is not too good, so Norman thought he was saying that Claude wanted him to hire a private eye to keep tabs on her. Which he did. Claude tells him that it’s ok but the man Norman hired gives him his report and it says something happened while he was away. Claude, of course, tells him to throw it away but after Norman leaves, Claude tries to retrieve it and tries to read it but Daniella’s there, when Giuseppe destoys it, he goes to the man Norman hired to get a copy. He tells Claude that a man went into his apartment while he was away and left at an unusual hour, and that he also has a video. Claude tells him to destroy it but shortly after leaving returns so that he can watch it. Now the video’s a little fuzzy but clearly he can see that the man wears a particular type of clothing. Claude goes around checking every man he knows to see if they wear that clothing. He discovers that Max, his protege and a ladies man wears it. After confronting Daniella, she is harboring a secret but not what Claude thinks it is, so when she tells Claude that it’s no big thing, Claude freaks out, and is planning to kill her and frame Max but an unforeseen circumstance disrupts the perfect plan he dreamed up.

… Flab into Fab? … xD?
Hiya!
I’m trying to lose about 2 or more stones by 30th May (I’m going to disney land)
I’m about 5′3, 14 years old and 12 stone. I gained about 3 stone since i started secondary school and i really want to lose it.

This is what i do now On School Days

Breakfast- 7:20 I eat cereal, Special K or Shreddies

Snack- 9:50 I eat the 99 calorie Special K snack (yummy)

Lunch- 12:10 I have brown bread tuna and mayo sandwich or cheese sandwich or even colslaw (don’t know how to spell it) sandwich (all with margarine)

Dinner- 4:00 I have a meal like, jacket potato with tuna, kidney beans and rice, mash potato and vegetables, something like that.

Evening- 7:00 I eat cereal again

I heard having 5 or 6 small meals a day will speed up the metabolism (in simple english, can you please explain to me what that means? xD)

I need some help on the weekends because this is where everything goes wrong
My Family decides to Buy take away
and I get VERY bored at times, i want to eat even when I’m not hungry, yes, i know I’m a pig… :P

Exercise
Me and My sis have decided 2 go to Town/Mall every Saturday at about 2 pm for 2-3 Hours (this is a lot of walking xD)

2 or 3, sometimes 4 times a week i go swimming at 4:45 until 6:15 (how much calories does that burn? xD)

I walk from school to home 5 times a week which is like 30 minutes, 2 miles i think (how much will that burn?)

I have P.E on Tuesdays and Fridays for 1 hour.

And i help my mum with cleaning or so.. (sometimes xD)
By the way, I’m not killing myself doing this, i have plenty of relaxation time xD
I heard drinking 7 glasses of water a day is very good, i don’t know if i can do this, but I’ll try :D
How much weight would i lose a week with this diet?

So what do you think? Shall i change the diet slightly? Will i achieve my goal?
Please give some good tips , Thanks :D

you sound like you’re doing a lot of good things, here are my suggestions:
make sure you eat fruits and vegetables every day
so exercises like bicycle or jogging
when you feel hungry chew gum instead (sugarless)
drink plenty of water, a lot of times your body can mistake hunger for thirst
cut down on all chips and soda, a cookie a day isn’t bad for you but don’t eat a lot

that’s all I’ve got, good luck!
yeah, it's me | Feb 05, 2010

Just one thing i have to tell you, don’t be stupid and go on a 500 calorie diet, yes instant weight loss sounds amazing however in the long run it’s very bad! Extremely Bad!

Pros and Cons of these Colleges: Boston University, Emerson College, NYU, and Fordham.?
I’m a high school student with a GPA of 3.5-3.8 and an interest in majoring in Acting, Theatre Arts, or Theatre Education. These are my top four schools that I think I have somewhat of a chance of getting into. I know I want to attend college in New York or Boston because I absolutely love both of the cities. I would prefer a smaller school, but NYU is a dream, and BU looks really promising. I am in a vocal ensemble at my school and in the school musical and soon I am going to volunteer as an usher regularly at the biggest theatre in my city. What else can I do to prepare for college before senior year?

So what can you tell me about these four schools. Pros? Cons? Comments? Concerns? The inside scoop? I would like to know more about the theatre programs, if possible. Money is a little bit of an issue, so how much financial aid do these schools give? Are they worth the price?

Also, I’ve been receiving a lot of negativity for wanting to major in theatre-related fields. I know the life of an actor or other theatre related jobs is not an easy or successful one. Tips?

Thanks!

NYU
Pros: In New York–and in a really fun part of Manhattan. If you want to be in theatre, NYC is *the* place to be. Great restaurants, clubs, museums. Walking distance to everything. Very eclectic student body.
Cons: Some people can feel a bit alienated, since there’s no real campus and dorms are often quite spread out (but same goes for every other college you’ve mentioned.) Expensive. No emphasis on sports (this could be bad or good–it would be a pro for me, but a con for many others.)
I don’t know anyone who didn’t love NYU, frankly.

I don’t know that much about Emerson. I have a couple of friends who went there. It was EXTREMELY artsy–even more so than NYU. If you’re into that, then fine, but my friends were kind of…weirded out (?) by it.

Fordham is a good school, but it won’t have the same caliber students as the other schools will. It’s also not really in Manhattan, which is kind of annoying.

BU is a fun school. Pretty big focus on sports; parties are great. No real campus but Boston is smaller than NY so it can feel a little more insular.

They’re all relatively similar. If you want to be in theatre, I would recommend NYU first and Emerson second. Regarding your intended course of study–sure, being an actor is hard. But you can also involve yourself in other parts of theatre, like being the Managing Director of a theatre company, to make money.
To improve your chances…keep your GPA up; volunteer as much as you can in theatre (an usher is great, but see if you can help out more.) You will need very strong essays and recommendations for these schools (except for BU, which will focus on you more as a number and less as a person because it’s a bigger school.)

Good luck!

I am a senior. Applied to Fordham first choice this year and just got deferred. hopefully going to get in and go. Starting with that, its a great school! i visited last spring and loved it. the atmosphere is great and they have a ton of resources to offer, especially being in New York City! I am also a musician, so I am looking to major or minor in music industry. The arts are going to be pretty big at any of these schools. BU and Emerson i dont really know much about. my buddy is applying to the film program at Emerson. I think its a pretty good theatre and film school, with a good reputation. NYU is probably the best theatre school in the country. probably the most competative. When i looked at it, i hated it. the kids there are VERY artsy, who knows, you might like that. I feel like the people there are kinda snobby as well ("My arts better than yours, blah blah blah") stuff like that. But overall its a great school and I am sure youd get A LOT out of any program you are in there. I am no theatre person, but NYU and Fordham are or were top of my list so i thought id give you a reply. GOOD LUCK!

Fordham
Pros: It’s in New York City, Jesuit Education, nice campus, good overall reputation.
Cons: It’s in the Bronx.

NYU
Pros: It’s REALLY in the City, it also has a good reputation, their arts programs are probably the best after Juilliard.
Cons: Snobby kids and uncaring professors. Campus isn’t really a campus.

BU:
Pros: It’s right in the middle of Boston.
Cons: I’ve heard grade inflation horror stories about BU. Again, campus isn’t really a campus.

I don’t know much about Emerson.

Good Luck!

I know that most of the time when men say, "Good girl" to their girlfriend/wife it's a term of endearment, but?
But would men see it as a term of endearment if their girlfriend/wife tells them, "Good boy"?

Life is too short to nit pick at things like this. To each their own. Depends on the individual and the tone its said in and the circumstances involved.

End of Train device question?
heres part of a rule concerning markers at the rear of the train:

A marker must be displayed on the trailing end of the rear car to indicate the rear of the train. display a highly visible marker at the rear of every train, from 1 hour before sunset to 1 hour after sunrise. Display a reflector, red flag, or EOT device at the rear of the train as the marker when: a highly visible marker is not required, a defective car must be placed at the rear for movement to a repair point…

does this mean that a "highly visible marker" must be a lighted marker, usually the blinking red light…, from sunset to sunrise?…
otherwise it can be a flag, reflector, eot?…

Im just getting confused on this rule and the wording.

You are correct, highly visible marker must be blinking red light and somewhere in the definition it has to be a specified brightness.
they tried just a traffic type marker with a red lens and it wasnt good enough.

Red flag is ok in the daytime, I have seen them used in work trains and locals here and the FRA approves it.

UK rules: every train must carry a red light at the rear, day and night. Formerly these were oil lamps but nowadays, electric lamps are used.

Rango and Squeaky will agree with me, there’s nothing like a real caboose with twin red lights to tell an oncoming train it’s the end of another. FRED’s are an acronym for, F***ing, Rear End Dummy!

O’ rise my beloved muse,
Upon Dianna’s altar that she had pray you,
That makes like a solemn hymn,
From the angel gazing heavens,
To a mortal earthly vale.
And the collars of the moon,
Shines bright with endymion,
Where the flowering saffron wings
Of the immortal Saint Cupid,
Overspread the blue seducing night,
With loves sweet gild,
That winds the fair sky of Milo’s,
Glistening on a substantial beam of light,
Painting the doe-white clouds in virgin hue
And those goliath rays,
That moves the heavens,
Warm her sweet aspects,
In beauty’s pattern,
Where I devout in praise and avow
My faithful, love and heart,
With mouth to breath,
I kiss her divining eyes,
Like righteous veiling stars
In long bright fane,
Sparkling in their circled orbs,
Far more brilliant then a genius’ wit,
There within the comfort,
Of my spirits breast,
I am often touched by madness,
When I write the inflaming passions of my desires.
Beauty’s might, bounds me
In her powerful spelling charms
That paints the mastery of my verse,
Where a pen to lance a word spills the ink in every form of love.

O’ her lovely spirit glow, is ordained as

james bond movies,007,ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE

Lazenby’s performance as James Bond is controversial. Most viewers appreciate his athletic prowess in the part, especially in action scenes, but many have been dismissive - even hostile - toward his interpretation of Bond. Moreover, viewers tend either to find Lazenby’s laconic style cold-blooded, at times callow and humorless, or else perfectly appropriate to the character of a determined and superficially charming spy. Certainly, Lazenby’s Bond is a man less amused by life than that of Connery, less accessible, stoic and resigned. The film’s producers, perhaps mistrusting Lazenby’s ability to carry the picture, took the unusual step of overdubbing Lazenby’s voice with that of George Baker in major scenes in which Bond impersonated Baker’s character. The technique had never been used in a Bond film for a leading actor whose first language was English. It was rumoured that Lazenby had been ‘difficult to work with’.[citation needed] Lazenby subsequently admitted that he had neither the maturity nor the experience to completely understand the studio system.[citation needed] According to an interview with Lazenby, the difficulties were due to director Peter R. Hunt refusing to talk directly to Lazenby, who was too brusque in passing on a request that Hunt’s friends clear a set before filming[1]. Allegedly, there also were personality conflicts with leading lady Diana Rigg, who already was an established star. However, according to director Hunt, these rumours are untrue and there were no such difficulties - or else they were minor - and that he would have agreed to direct Diamonds Are Forever if Lazenby had accepted the contract.

He couldn’t act his way out of a paper bag. OHMSS is considered, by quite a few Bond aficionados, to be the best Bond script of all, but he almost ruined the film, and they sensibly never let him play Bond again. Or any other role in any other film!

eilishaa | Nov 15, 2006

When George Lazenby was offered ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ he was the highest paid model in the world.

George Lazenby’s portrayal of Bond has created much controversy. Some say it is the best portrayal of the character. Others are hostile to that interpretation.

When he was cast for the role, the producers offered him a seven picture deal. His manager talked him out of the deal on the grounds that the Bond franchise was out of touch with the times.

The film was the second highest grossing movie of 1969.

In the 1970’s Lazenby went on to produce martial arts films in Hong Kong. The Shrine of Ultimate Bliss (1974), The Man From Hong Kong (1975), and A Queen’s Ransom (1976).

These were to be with Bruce Lee. A planned luncheon meeting with Lee and Raymond Chow to discuss a movie project for the upcoming Golden Harvest Lee film Game of Death (released postumhously in 1978) collapsed after Lee’s sudden death,

These films grossed over 100 million world wide making Lazenby a very rich man.

He also starred in The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977). He gave up his acting career for the stade world of
business and real estate investments.

Lazenby was not the first choice of the producers of ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’. They originally approached Timothy Dalton who declined at the time, thinking he was way too young for the role. Dalton would accept after the Roger Moore franchise had burnt out.
